Our driver guide will meet the group and start the drive from Arusha to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority, descend into the crater (optional) for a game viewing with your picnic lunches – followed by a drive to Empakai crater for the purpose of a descent walk. As you do the walk, your crew will be setting the tents and meals at the Empakai crater rim.

After breakfast, you will proceed to Nayobi Village near the escarpment of Great Rift Valley with your crew and donkeys (approx. 4 hrs of a descent walk). You will arrive early and set for the evening.

Today you are trekking for nearly 7 hours towards the volcanoes of Mt. Oldoinyo Lengai (the living mountain of God). Together with the crew you will leave the camp after breakfast; with your picnic lunches, arriving at the base of Oldoinyo Lengai early before noon. You will then be transferred by a safari car to Natron Camp for showers and refreshments. Later at around 10pm you will be picked by car to the base of Lengai for a magical walk. This mountain is best climbed at night and be back in the morning (part because of the fact of super strong lights from volcanoes but too the fact that it tends to be extremely hot different times).

Your volcano mountain climb is done!! You will be picked up from the Lengai base back to Natron Camp for refreshments. Later today you will drive back to Arusha.
